I am Sound Alchemist, a sampling-driven music project focused on transforming memorable moments from videos into music.
I look for voices, expressions, sounds and situations that already contain an interesting rhythm or musical quality. I then sample, edit and arrange the material, building it into a new musical composition.
My work is based on the idea that music can be discovered in unexpected places.
Hela Stockholm
My current release is Hela Stockholm.
The track was created using source material from a video by Nick Alinia. Through sampling, arrangement and musical production, selected moments from the original video were transformed into a new musical work.
Hela Stockholm represents the central idea behind Sound Alchemist: finding music in material that was not originally created as music.
